HUMAN, ALL TOO HUMAN

Despite the title of the collection, all of the paintings are of animals. They are nearly all white but white has innumerable shades and gradations. Gradually removing contrasts and moving closer to a single and pure white can produce increased density and depth. Their kinship with mankind, which the use of veils and headdresses underlines, makes their attitudes and their poses all the more incongruous. However, once again, the headwear serves to highlight the whiteness of their flesh.
